Confliction

The energy of a society is confliction. If there is only one thinking in the society, the surrounding becomes boring. Thomas Jefferson said, “It is conflict and not unquestioning agreement that deeps freedom alive. In a free country there will always be conflicting ideas, and this is a source of strength.” Our society has diversity of all aspects, because we tolerate different ideas. Therefore, I detect that the freedom in our society decreases. I hate this phenomenon because it conflict our lives. Liberty is the biggest feature in our country and it is different form China mainland. According the data from Freedom House, our political rights and civil liberties become low. That will cause the life of our society lower and lower. The confliction of ideas has benefit in promoting our society energy.

Success

Success is not accidental. “Many people dream of success. To me success can only be achieved through repeated failure and introspection. In fact, success represents 1% of your work which results from the 99% that is called failure,” said by Foichiro Honda, a Japanese company originator. It is impossible that one person doesn’t experience failure but he successes. The most important factor of success is experience. Those experiences can let us find the reason of failure. Many theories are results from achievements of people of former times. A proverb which says that profit from the labor of one's forefathers has similar meaning. Only accumulating lots of failures results to success.

Fair

Fair doesn’t exist everywhere. Nancy Reagan said, ”Ronnoe and I have been through so much together, but it still doesn’t feel like 50 years. I’ve been asked over and over again if there is a secret to staying married for this long and I’d have to say there isn’t one. Marriage is never 50-50. One of you is always giving more, always compromising. And we’ve both done our share of compromising.” Theory is never equal to reality. I think sex equality is the simplest thing in the world. Up to now, there is not a female president in advanced country, though they all claim sex equality. A family is a small group, and there isn’t fair in it. I don’t think there is fair in the world.

Fear

Franklin Roosevelt said, “First of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror that paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” Yes, fear is the terrible demon. Many people fail to their aim because they are afraid of an uncertain feeling. Success and failure are divided from a line. Some people can success because they have bravery and a steady conviction. On the other hand, the reason of people failure is that they don’t have changeless conviction. For example, Lincoln has a steady conviction to liberate Blacks, and in the end, he successes. It tells us that there is fear in mind causing us failure.

Contentment

People are often not content with their lot. I think that it is the reason of advance of people. In the past, scientists invent a lot of equipment because of their need. I think it is a good phenomenon if the purpose is for human. Therefore, someone is not satisfied with his requirement. Many of them just fit their benefits and damage more people’s interests. I think those people’s behavior doesn’t deserve us to follow. An American novelist, Thornton Wilder, said, “It’s when you’re safe at home that you wish you were having an adventure. When you’re having an adventure you wish you were safe at home.” It states one of human nature. People are never satisfied his present situation.

Influenza vaccine

The government approves to inject influenza vaccine and propagate it. I have no common about it, because there are two conditions to be discussed. The flu vaccine is produced by the DNA or RNA which is got from last year flu. Because of that, sometimes the vaccine isn’t effective absolutely. For babies, their resistance against disease is weak, so I think that it is necessary that they are injected by flu vaccine. For children, I think it isn’t. According to the child’s state of health, parents decide whether take their child to inject flu vaccine. That can decrease the waste of medical resource. The programs of TV propagate parents to take their children to inject influenza vaccine are not necessary for someone.

Space

My space is fast, because the space of people around me is very fast. I have heard that Japanese’s space is fast, especially in Tokyo. Although slowing down the fast space can release our life, I think it will cause a result that I can’t catch up with them. When I have fast space, I think it causes me lose the fun of my life. Sometimes I even consider whether I want a fast space life, but I don’t have any result until now. So far what I can do is following other people. Maybe I have to take some time to consider what kind of life fits my style. Though others like fast space lives, it doesn’t mean I have to like and follow it.

Time

Time can change many things. I went to a store which sells only games recently. I found that the display of the store now differs from before. I saw a boss who cleaned the floor and talked with his friend. I heard one sentence from his month. He said” If the boss cleans the floor, it means two conditions. One condition is the boss is bored, and another is that every boss doesn’t want it.” When I heard this sentence, I know the store faces a terrible condition. I think it fits what I see. It causes that there is a few games in the store. I can’t believe that time changes the store so much.

Rule

I think everything needs to follow rules. Last weekend, when I lined up at bus stop, I saw many people cut in. I don’t understand why they cut in because of their friends in line. This situation lets me think a similar case. At the date of FF6, I lined up from 6:30. About 9:00, I saw some people cut in because their friends were in line. This behavior shows the citizens’ education is not successful in our country. The representation of this poor behavior will let others despise us. If everyone doesn’t follow rules, our country won’t become an advanced country.

Essay
When I become a freshman, there are three options for my living. One is living in dormitory, another is living home, and the other is living near the campus. I decide to live in the dormitory because it has five advantages for me.
The first advantage is that it saves me much time in transportation. If I live outside, I need to cost my time in transporting to school. Sometimes, I have a lot of homework and tests, so it may make me have less sleep time. For example, last month I had to do two reports, and both of them cost me much time. If I didn’t live in the dormitory, I wouldn’t concentrate on the course. Therefore, I don’t spend much time in transportation.
Second, living in the dorm can save our family much money. Living outside or living home have to spend more money on rent and food. I don’t believe that the price of food is less in Taipei than it in the university. Besides, according the sum of the price in the transportation, it is more than the rent of the dormitory. The price is spent on the rent of the dorm is cheaper.
Third, living in the dorm is easy to ask question of teachers or classmates. While I am doing my homework, I can request for help from my classmates and teacher instantly. The distance from the dorm to teachers’ office spends me about fifteen minutes. It is the most advantage for me to select to live in the dormitory, because I can solve my question easily.
Then, living in the dorm means that I have to do everything by myself. No one has responsibility to call me up in the morning. No matter how many clubs I attend, I have to remember when I have to go there. Nobody reminds me of whether I have to do my homework. It means that the person who can help me is self.
Final, the environment in the dorm fits students for studying. The dorm in the university is far away urban. There is not any shop in the campus expect convenience stores. If I don’t have a motorcycle, I can’t go to Internet cafés easily and comic shops easily. The selections of food are less. It means that I don’t have to spend much time in choosing amusements and food. Hence, I can spend more time on study.
After all, living in the dormitory let me spend more time on my study and cost me less money. I can’t imagine why not I live in the dorm. I think it more suit students to study.

Diary

Recently, we have a midterm examination in physics. The grades we get are not very well. Our physics teacher says that the sophomore in computer science got good grades last year. I think she means we don’t study hard, instead play too much. In fact, my roommates and my classmates study sometimes, so I think we have to consider how we focus on our study. I don’t believe that only studying all the time can let us have good grades. But we must to hold the degree between study and fun. I know our physics teacher think we have bad grades in physics. Not only she but I think our grades are very bad. I think some classmates may fail to this class. I think we deserve to get bad grades because many of our classmates don’t concentrate in the class. Though most of our classmates fail to this midterm examination, I pass it luckily. However, I need to study harder than before. If I don’t study hard, I will fail to this class in the final.

Money

People say “Money talks,” but I don’t think so. Money actually can help us do many almost all of things. No matter of jobs, authorities, and even lives, riches can get them by money. Whether we agree on this viewpoint or not, we have to admit this truth. There are not right and wrong absolutely in our society, so sometimes money can cause death, even wars. Despite money has so great function, sometimes it can’t do something. For example, feelings are the most incredible thing in our lives. Though getting along with someone probably brings about feelings, love is seldom caused by getting along. In the world of feelings, it is too hard to control, so nothing has the ability to affect it. I have heard one sentence, “Nobody can determine right or wrong in the world of feelings.” Tough we are now in the utilitarian world, but I remember a sentence, “Money can’t do everything.” all the time.

Lose

I hate to lose anything, but I like to lose something. Why do I say the sentence conflicting itself? Human life does not always go well. Sometimes we are in the peak of our live, but we may go down suddenly. When I am at the top of achievement, I hate to lose anything, because it means that I will go downhill. It probably strikes me too hard to brace my heart. I know that my mind is tender, so I am sensitive to my circumstance. If my mind is stroke by situation, I will spend a long time to cure my soul. If I am at the bottom now, I don’t afraid lose anything, because I have nothing to lose. Because of this reason, I think the most terrible person is who lose everything. The ebb and flow of life don’t be foreseen, and the life is bitter-sweet, so I have to learn to open my mind. To learn not to let lose anything affect my mind.

Light Novel

Light novels now are very popular in teenagers. I like to read them very much. The term “light novel” is come from Japan. It means that the novel can read relaxed. Light novels have a particular feature which is draw animation illustration. Except for that, the novel use a lot of colloquial language to describe the story which the author thinks it is fun. To deserve to be mentioned is light novels often be arranged to comic books or computer games. But it is not necessary to arrange comics and games. It is possible to publish novels prior than others.
There are many kinds of light novel, for example, youth, campus, love, mystery, and science fiction, but I like to read sci-fi most. I consider that many things we think they are common but people think they are impossible to exist in the word in the past. That is, as long as we develop our imagination, we will attain and invent which we imagine. The word can become more convenient because our imagination. The sci-fi is the basis of becoming a nice word.

I have never seen the movie, but I have heard many things about it form my friends mouth. So this weekend I decided to see the movie with my family this weekend.
